Milwee PTSA General Meeting and Program, Cyber Bullying Awareness:
PTSA meeting: Highlight PTSA’s major achievements, give thanks to our engaged Spartan community, review the budget, and receive nomination committee’s nominations and election of officers.
Cyber Bullying Awareness Program: The Seminole County Sheriff’s office will present their Cyber Bullying program, which is pertinent to our middle school community considering the wide use of internet and social media. This program aligns with the school’s Positive Behavior Support (PBS), which is one of our primary objectives. The following bullets provide the program objectives and benefits to our Spartan Community.
o Concept: In today’s society, bullying has become a problem in schools. Give students the knowledge to recognize bullying, teach them how to be assertive, and the consequences to bullying will assist in the accomplishment of safe schools.
o Purpose: To help students understand that bullying is a problem and needs to be reported to adults. This lesson will also give the students the tools to recognize and respond to bullying in the correct manner.
o Objectives: Students will understand the components of bullying, what to do if bullied, the consequences of being a bully, and how to be assertive.
