PTSA's Welcome Back Breakfast for Milwee Faculty, 2015-16 (Aug 2015)
Milwee PTSA hosted a Welcome Back Breakfast for Milwee's school faculty on August 10, 2015. We wanted to start the year off letting them know how much we appreciate their dedication to our students’ success! Our breakfast buffet included : Individual egg souffles from Panera Bread, Yogurt Bar, Fruit, Bagels/Cream Cheese, and Beverages. Faculty could also join or renew their annual PTSA membership and purchase school spirit items!

Florida PTA Leadership Training & Conference - July 2014
In school year 2013-14, Florida PTA awarded Milwee Middle School PTSA their President's Program Award for our partnership with the Student-Led Conference and the Standards Toolkit website. This was a great accomplishment since our program was competing with all middle and high school programs in Florida public schools. Thank you Mrs.McManus and Dr. Walsh for leading the Milwee team to deliver an award winning program!
PTSA's Student Learning Gains Awards/FCAT Dance - May 2014
PTSA awarded $750 to fifty students ($15 each) who made learning gains on their Discovery Education assessments in Reading or Math. PTSA announced selected students at the FCAT Dance tonight. The students were amazed at the amount of cash given away and excited that they may have been selected!

Seminole County Council PTSA (SCCPTA) awarded Milwee Middle School PTSA their "Top Middle School Award". The award criteria was based on our PTSA objectives and how they met the mission statement of the PTA. Thank you Mrs. Geary, Mrs. McManus, and Dr. Walsh for leading the Milwee teams in our award winning programs.

Teacher Appreciation - May 2014
Milwee PTSA partners closely with Milwee teachers and staff employees and have had the opportunity to see first-hand the love and dedication they give each and every day for our students. On behalf of our membership, Milwee PTSA showed our appreciation with the following:
- Monday: mailbox surprise of water bottles with Crystal Light
- Tuesday: Breakfast provided by Palm Springs Baptist Church - thank you so much!!
- Wednesday: Chocolate Fondue - Thank you, Chris Kilby "Pampered Chef", for preparing the food for us! We appreciated the help so much!
- Thursday: Jason's Deli Community Partnership Boxed Lunch - Thanks, the food and service was great!
- Friday: Mailbox surprise of hand sanitizer
New (Spartan) Parent Coffee/Tea - May 2014
Milwee invites incoming 6th grade parents/guardians to an informal gathering to meet the Milwee experts that will share information helpful to navigate their families transition to sixth grade and answer questions. PTSA provided information regarding family engagement, volunteer opportunities, and shared our "parent" perspective of Milwee.
FCAT Snacks Initiative - April 2014
Snacks for the entire campus (nearly 1,400 students and teachers) on 4/14 FCAT test date which was an especially challenging long day for them and we want to provide a snack to ensure they are energized and focused for testing. Bags of snacks were everywhere! We are sincerely grateful for your support and response to our request for donations! It truly takes a village to support our children! Thank you Publix for donating the paper bags for our sorting and delivery of the snacks! Consider yourself hugged!
